Patient safety and comfort is our main priority. East Padden Animal Hospital’s experienced anesthetists provide skilled pain management during and after all surgical procedures, ensuring your pet recovers quickly and pain-free. We also have access to a board-certified surgeon who can come to our hospital to do complicated surgeries such as TPLOs, patellar luxations, and more.
Our veterinary team educates you throughout the entire process, giving you the tools to make informed decisions regarding your treatment options. We understand surgery is a stressful time for any owner—we are available every step of the way to answer questions and put your mind at ease.
For each surgical patient, we do preoperative lab work and IV fluid therapy. They are continuously monitored by a technician using EKG, blood pressure, puse oximetry, esophageal stethoscope auscultation, respiratory, and temperature monitors. They are kept comfortable intraoperatively and postoperatively with pain medications and warming devices…not to mention hugs and kisses!
