Chanel Baron grew up on the west coast, having lived in Central Oregon, Arizona, and Southern California. After graduating high school in Redondo Beach, Dr. Baron double majored in Animal Biology and English Literature, obtaining both her Bachelor’s and Veterinary Medicine degrees from the University of California, Davis. Due to her love of an urban lifestyle, Dr. Baron made Portland, Oregon her home, where she loves enjoying all that the city has to offer, with quick access to gorgeous nature.
At East Padden, you will most often find Dr. Baron on the urgent care service, looking to provide reassurance and swift treatment to pet owners and pets in need. She enjoys all aspects of medicine, but her favorite part is forming long lasting relationships with pets and their families, helping reinforce the human-animal bond, and helping pets live long and quality lives.
Outside of work Dr. Baron is an avid traveler, there is no place in the world she does not want to visit. Her favorite activities include hot yoga, live music, swimming, cycling, kayaking, camping, scuba diving, and thrift shopping. Throughout her life she has also been an avid reader, and she most often spends her days off reading with her three rescue cats and her dog, baking and cooking new vegetarian recipes.
